Here’s an exciting update for you

I know it’s been a while, but I'm postponing the tumbler dryer review for the foreseeable future. Instead, I want to take you along on the journey of starting a small business.

I decided I would start working with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) because I like to craft and thought maybe I could turn it into a small business. While working with DVR, I was introduced to the Opportunity Development Center (ODC). ODC and DVR are helping me through the process. So far, I have learned a lot about the steps of setting up said business.

One of the things we're working on is the decision of sole entrepreneurship versus Limited Liability Company (LLC) and which one would be better for me. The business setup part of this can be a little complicated and a little boring, but I look at it as one of the most important parts of this process. I want to do it the right way so I have no issues later.

ODC set me up with a crafting mentor who has gone through this process before. She has been helpful on organizing the creative side of things. She and I are going to be working on a crafting calendar which is a way to figure out what Items to make when and how to plan for the year ahead. We are also going to be working on product pricing.

Special thanks to Priscilla for being here with me through this process. Hopefully, I can help you as much as you help me

I will keep you all posted as the launch approaches.
